Ramadan Lessons for the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ by Habib Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Aydarus is a powerful treatise on the virtues of Ramadan and the rulings of fasting. This is essential knowledge for every Muslim striving to draw closer to Allah by following the example of the Prophet ﷺ, his family, and his companions.

Ramadan Lessons for the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ will be taught by Sayida Hafsa in her native Arabic, with translation by Sayyida Nejma Davis. It will be held three Saturdays in Ramadan—on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Saturdays, insha’ Allah.

This is a LADIES (17+) ONLY class.

“Indeed, Allah made you victorious at Badr when you were outnumbered. So be mindful of Allah, so that you may be grateful. ˹Remember, O Prophet,˺ when you said to the believers, ‘Is it not enough that your Lord will send down a reinforcement of three thousand angels for your aid?...Allah ordained this only as good news for you and reassurance for your hearts. And victory comes only from Allah—the Almighty, All-Wise.” [Quran 3:123-124, 126]

Commemorating events from the life of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gives life to the our hearts, strengthens our faith, and inspires within us love, reverence, and dedication.

Please join us for our annual commemoration of the Great Battle of Badr, which took place on the 17th of Ramadan. This is the Decisive Day when Allah gave victory to His Beloved Prophet and the Companions. The Battle of Badr was a turning point for the entire Ummah, and there are many lessons to be learned from the events that took place.

Our program begins at 6:00 PM EST, which will consist of the narrative of events, some reflections, devotional poetry, and du‘a and end with a community Iftar. The gathering will be broadcast at https://www.almaqasid.org/live

To ensure the main Ribat parking lot is available for our teachers, elders, sisters, and those requiring special care; we ask that local community please park in Stone Barn parking lot. Parking directions are available here: https://www.almaqasid.org/directions

Tafsir Sura al-Qasas

Sura al-Qasas (The Whole Story), the 28th Sura of the Quran, focuses primarily on the story of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) and the Pharaoh, as well as the story of Qārūn. These Quranic narratives teach us, among other things, the dangers of worldly power and attachment to wealth. Through these stories, Sura al-Qasas also elucidates the absolute supremacy of Allah's will and authority.

This series attempts to reflect on some of the wisdoms found within the endless ocean of Quranic meaning. We ask Allah ﷻ to make the Quran a means for strengthening our faith, a guide for us through tribulations, and a key to opening for us the greatest treasuries of divine knowledge.
