Exciting News – Musalla Expansion Underway
Assalam Alaykum,
We pray this message finds you well. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, we are excited to share that construction on the Musalla expansion has officially begun! The construction crews have arrived and started their work, bringing us one step closer to a more accommodating prayer space.
As work progresses, we kindly ask everyone to be mindful of the construction equipment and machinery on campus. While fenced-off areas will be designated for the work zone and equipment, please remain cautious, as this is an active construction site. There may be debris, such as nails or screws, in certain areas. Parents, please remind your children to be extra careful when walking around campus to ensure their safety. Your awareness and cooperation will help us maintain a safe environment for everyone.
BASEMENT ACCESS RESTRICTION
Contractors are currently working in the Basement, so access to this area is now restricted. We will not be congregating or using the Basement space until further notice. Please plan accordingly and avoid this area during the construction period.
* RIBAT MUSALLA ENTRANCE *
• Men's Entrance: The main entrance for men will remain at the Ribat building, accessible from the Ribat parking lot.
• Women's Entrance: The women’s entrance is now accessible from the front of the property at the side handicap-accessible entrance. Please note that the basement foyer is blocked off for construction and is no longer accessible.
STONE HOUSE PATHWAY:
When coming from the Stone House parking lot you will reach the construction fence at the end of the path to the Ribat. To access the women’s entrance, you will need to turn left and go around the staircase to the front of the building. To get to the men’s entrance, we ask that you turn right, walk around the construction, and make your way to the front entrance. (see attached campus map)
Thank you for your patience and support!

MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS
Welcoming Ramadan - Creating a Ramadan schedule with Amjad Tarsin
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Surely, in the days of your Lord there are spiritual breezes; therefore, expose yourself to His breezes." We are pleased to announce our ten part series on practical ways to prepare for the auspicious month of Ramadan. These short reminders are meant to help us immediately prepare for the blessed month, so that when it arrives, we are able to smoothly transition and get the most out of it. We will release a new video daily, in shaʾ Allah.
Preparing Our Hearts for Ramadan - Yahya Rhodus
“Don't enter this blessed month with any resentment in your heart towards anyone. Be extremely cautious during these days".”
LOVING THE BELOVED ﷺ
This weekly Majlis includes a recitation of the prophetic biography in poetry form followed by a counsel intended to connect the listener to the Prophet ﷺ and his teachings. The more we know about his life, character, and way, the more we will come to love and follow the one beloved to Allah.
Allah, The Ever-Present Guardian - Auzair Khilwati
In this insightful reminder, we reflect on the profound verse:
"Allah is the Guardian of those who believe. He brings them out from darkness into light..." (Qur’an 2:257).
No matter the state of the believer—heedless, forgetful, or steadfast—Allah is always there, guiding, sustaining, and calling them back to Him. His mercy is vast, and His love encompasses those who turn to Him in repentance. The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Allah says: ‘Whoever comes to Me walking, I come to him running.’" (Sahih al-Bukhari, 7536). This talk emphasizes the importance of divine remembrance, the continuous mercy of our Lord, and the many ways He calls His servants back to Him. Through prayer, fasting, and moments of reflection, we are reminded of our Lord’s presence in every season of our lives. May we be among those whom Allah draws near and grants steadfastness.
The Legacy of Light - Hasan Petrus
The great scholars of our ummah are reflections of the Prophet’s ﷺ light, carrying his guidance through generations. Among them was Imam Ibn al-Jawzi, a prolific scholar and preacher, who longed for his son to follow in his footsteps.
In his heartfelt book to his son, he recalled his own early struggles in seeking knowledge, choosing sacred learning over worldly distractions. He urged his son with a simple yet profound truth: “Be mindful of Allah, and He will teach you, guide you, and help you.”
This is the inheritance of the Prophet ﷺ—light passed from heart to heart, shaping lives and illuminating the path for those who seek it.
The Time to Return - Abdul Malik Klockemann
Malik ibn Dīnār’s transformation is a powerful reminder of the weight of our actions and the urgency of repentance. In his dream, his sins took the form of a ferocious beast, chasing him until his daughter—born from his repentance—saved him.
Life is fleeting, and as we grow older, the reality of death becomes clearer. Do we wait for hardship to force us back to Allah, or do we return willingly before it is too late?
May Allah grant us sincere repentance, a heart that turns to Him willingly, and a gentle departure from this world, meeting the angel of death as a friend.
The Virtue of Sending Salawat in Sha'ban - Abu Bakr Rhodus
Allah has blessed us with the arrival of Sha'ban, a month in which the verses of the Qur’an were revealed and a time when we are encouraged to increase in sending abundant salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ. The scholars say that to be considered among those who send salawat abundantly, one should recite it at least 300 times daily—a practice that takes only minutes but carries immense reward.
A powerful story illustrates the transformative power of salawat: A young man once saw his sinful father’s face darken upon death, only for it to be illuminated by the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a dream. The Prophet ﷺ declared, "I intercede for those who send salawat upon me."
In this blessed month, we ask Allah to make us among those who send constant salawat, increase in love for the Prophet ﷺ, and through that love, attain the love of Allah. May He allow us to reach Ramadan in the best of states, with hearts deeply connected to His beloved ﷺ.
